Kei Otabe joined U.S. public accounting firm Deloitte & Touche LLP in 2003 and was engaged in audit services. In 2006, he joined UBS Securities Japan Co., Ltd., where he was engaged in advisory services relating to M&A and corporate finance in the investment banking division′s Global Industrial Group (GIG) and M&A Advisory Group. He subsequently transferred to Greenhill & Co. Japan Ltd., a boutique investment firm headquartered in the U.S., and was involved in M&A advisory services throughout his time there. He joined CFI Japan in 2012.
He was engaged in investment banking for more than 10 years. He provided diverse investment banking solutionsranging from M&A advisory services to corporate finance advisory services and has practical business experience and knowhow.
At Deloitte & Touche LLP (the Los Angeles office), he was engaged in audit services for U.S. corporations and Japanese corporations in the U.S.
At UBS Securities Japan Co., Ltd., Greenhill & Co. Japan Ltd. and Frontier Management, he has been involved in numerous M&A deals mainly relating to the construction materials, machinery, electronic parts, electrical machinery, chemical and communication sectors.
