Mumbai – CFI India acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to Oceanaa Biotek Industries Limited on the sale of a minority stake to B R Traders. The transaction was privately negotiated.
B R Traders is a privately held company. Oceanaa Biotek Industries Limited engages in producing and trading prawn seeds in India. The company also operates a food testing laboratory that provides microbiological, molecular biology, and chemical analysis for food. In addition, it offers a range of courses for training employees, students, and professionals in food processing and various related fields. The company was formerly known as Oceanic Shelters Private Limited and changed its name to Oceanaa Biotek Industries Limited in May 2013. Oceanaa Biotek Industries Limited was incorporated in 2005 and is based in Chennai, India.
CFI India was hired to provide assistance in the acquisition of assets of the Seller Partnership Firm M/s. B R Traders and to provide assistance at which shares were issued to a partnership firm as purchase consideration.
The transaction closed on 22 February 2017.
