One Two Capital has acquired Welten

Amsterdam – Corporate Finance International (‘CFI’) is pleased to announce that it has acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to One Two Capital in the acquisition of Welten.

Welten was founded in 1992 and offers an integrated full-service proposition to the financial services sector in the Netherlands. With over 300 financial professionals from a junior to senior role, secondment and interim management (Welten), education & publishing (Dukers & Baelemans) and eLearning (Hubper) solutions are offered. With its leading position and excellent reputation, Welten continues to support its clients and train professionals in fighting fraud and money laundering in Compliance & Risk, as well as in the dynamic field of Business IT.

With the foundation of the independent investment firm One Two Capital, Casper Bannet, the former CEO and founder of healthcare employment and secondment agency Aethon, together with experienced and hands-on private equity investor Arthur Wolff, intend to emphasise entrepreneurship as investors. To support Welten’s growth strategy, One Two Capital raised a committed fund of € 25 million in only eight weeks from numerous successful Dutch entrepreneurs and institutional investors.

This partnership enables Welten to realise its growth ambitions and takeover strategy more quickly and to further strengthen its leading position. Chris Baelemans, founder of Dukers & Baelemans and CEO of Welten since 2017, commented: “Together with One Two Capital we will accelerate our growth ambitions and actively conduct a buy-and-build strategy. One Two Capital speaks the entrepreneur’s language like no other and acts decisively, which offers us the entrepreneurial autonomy to continue to grow and to expand our platform environment for adaptive professionals.”

Casper Bannet and Arthur Wolff from One Two Capital commented on the acquisition of Welten, which closed on 18 May 2021: “We are very pleased to have found an excellent partner in Welten as our first investment and look forward to maintaining a dominant position in the Netherlands. We very much valued the role of CFI during the process, resulting in the desired outcome for all stakeholders.”

CFI once again demonstrates its leading position in the Staffing & HR Services sector, with this 28th transaction in the past 24 months.
