Sojitz Corporation has acquired Marine Foods, a subsidiary of Nippon Ham Co.
Tokyo – CFI is pleased to announce that it provided financial advisory work related to Sojitz’s acquisition of Marine Foods, a subsidiary of Nippon Ham Co.
The buyer, Sojitz Corporation, is engaged in a wide range of businesses globally. Consisting of approximately 400 subsidiaries and affiliated located in Japan and throughout the world they provide goods and services that range from consumer goods and retail to metals and mineral sourcing.
The acquisition, Marine Foods, specialises in the procurement, production and sale of raw seafood materials. They have become a wholly owned subsidiary of Sojitz Corporation through the transfer of shares of Nippon Ham Co.
This transaction closed on 31 March 2022.
