The Human Network has been sold to House of Talents, a portfolio company of Baltisse

Amsterdam – Corporate Finance International (‘CFI’) is pleased to announce it acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to Synergia Capital Partners (‘Synergia’) and other shareholders of The Human Network (‘THN’) in their successful sale to House of Talents (‘HoT’), a portfolio company of Baltisse.

THN is a specialised provider of high-end professional services. It operates with over 500 white-collar professionals across 20 specialised labels, each with a distinct identity and focus on a particular specialism. Its IT and business-oriented profiles are in great demand and sourced via its differentiating Midlance model, supporting the professionals-focused market proposition to both its (semi) public and corporate clients in the Netherlands. The company was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Synergia joined THN as a majority shareholder in 2016.

Synergia is a Netherlands-based private equity firm specialising in growth capital, management buy-out, recapitalisation, management buy-in, and expansion financing investments. Synergia typically invests up to €25 million in equity in companies that operate in the agriculture, software, business services, financial, trade, production, fine chemicals, and software & IT services sectors.

HoT is a professional and commercial services provider, with a distinct focus on profiles that are scarce and in high demand. The group operates ten labels, each focused on a different expertise, predominantly ranging from IT to HR, engineering, and sales/marketing. The Group is headquartered in Belgium and has offices in the Netherlands, France and Germany. HoT was founded in 2008 by Steve Rousseau and employs more than 2,000 specialists. Baltisse joined HoT as a majority investor in 2019.

Baltisse is a top-tier investment company focused on value creation through entrepreneurship, active in industrial and consumer goods, health and self-care, services and energy. Baltisse invests in profitable companies, with a proven business model with clear growth potential and market leadership prospects. Their investment size lies between €25 million and €250 million equity investment per opportunity.

The acquisition of THN is an important step in HoT’s international growth strategy. HoT believes the expertise of THN is complementary to cover a complete offering for all types of profiles which are scarce and in high demand. The acquisition combined with strong organic growth is expected to result in a turnover of €180 million in 2021. Martijn Kamermans, CEO of The Human Network: “We looked for a party that truly understands our informal, entrepreneurial and professional culture. I am happy and proud that we have found just that in House of Talents. We respect each other’s strengths and intend to learn from each other. This will make us even stronger. And I am looking forward to that.”

CFI orchestrated discussions and negotiations during the process that ultimately resulted in the successful sale to HoT, closed on 11 October 2021. This transaction further emphasises once again CFI’s leading position in cross-border Staffing & HR Services transactions.
