Alliance Marine SAS has acquired Jan Comstedt AB
Gothenburg – CFI is pleased to announce that they acted as exclusive financial advisor to Jan Comstedt AB in the sale of 100% of its shares to Alliance Marine SAS.
Comstedt has established itself as a leading distributor in the marine and sport fishing sector. The company was founded in 1983 and has since enjoyed strong financial development. At inception it was a local player and it has now developed into a Nordic player with sales in Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden. The company offers high quality premium products from brands such as Lewmar, Dometic, Humminbird, Minn Kota, Cannon, Jabsco and many more. In the most recent financial year, the company achieved an EBITDA of SEK 24 million and with sales growth of approximately 20%.
Alliance Marine is a specialist of the distribution for equipment and spare parts for the renovation and maintenance in the recreational boating and commercial marine sectors. With 650 employees and a portfolio of more than 500 brands, including proprietary products and third party brands, Alliance Marine is not only the undisputed leader in France but also in Europe, where it has a nearly 10% market share with revenues exceeding €210m in 2021. Founded in 1999, the group expanded organically but also thanks to an active buildup strategy intensively enhanced these last few years in order to complete its European coverage and enlarge its portfolio.
