CFI advised SMT Simple Management Technologies on its sale to Craic Capital

Amsterdam – CFI Netherlands acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to  SMT (Simple Management Technologies), an IT Infrastructure management, Big Data and Security software provider, on its sale to Craic Capital.

SMT Simple Management Technologies (‘SMT’) is a specialist in the Benelux market for enterprise management software, focussing on infrastructure and application performance, big data and security. SMT’s mission is to optimise and simplify IT infrastructure management for its customers.
Due to strong growth in revenue and profitability the founding shareholders of SMT required high-quality reinforcement of the management team in conjunction with access to additional growth capital. The goal is to capitalise on continued growth and accelerate international expansion.
As a part of this transaction, Mr Harry Kloosterman joins SMT as managing director and shareholder, along with the founders of SMT Michiel Toes and Mark Schwenke. Mr Kloosterman brings in broad international IT and business development experience.

Craic Capital invests in SMT as a financial investor. Craic Capital is a family office for entrepreneurs and invests along informal investors, management buy-in candidates and existing management in successful and growing businesses. By selling a majority stake of the company to Craic Capital and Mr Kloosterman, the founders continue realising the growth plan by focussing on their specific core competencies.

CFI Netherlands has used its network to bring the right parties together. Mr Kloosterman is a very suitable CEO candidate given his experience from his previous board positions a.o. at PC-Ware Information Technologies AG (now Comparex Holding GmbH) and German listed Softline AG. Besides shareholder liquidity, Craic Capital brings in additional funds to execute the growth plan.
