It is engaged in the business of publishing, printing, distribution and selling of educational books and digital content as per the curriculum of Maharashtra State Board, CBSE, ICSE and other State Boards in India.
S Chand And Company Limited (S Chand) is a leading player in education content with presence in 3 segments – early learning, K-12 and higher education. Its product portfolio includes printed learning material, digitally enabled books, smart class solutions, learning management systems, curriculum management, test preparation platforms, STEM learning and e-books.It covers around 40,000 schools and over 30 million students through its pan-India network of 6,000 channel partners.
S Chand has invested for 51% partnership interest in Chetana. This investment will avail S Chand to expand its share in the K-12 content publishing market. This partnership places Chetana in a strong position and will help accelerate their vision.
The transaction closed on 20 August 2018.
