Jean-Marc licenciou-se na Ecole Normale Supérieure em Paris e passou grande parte da sua carreira no sector financeiro. Depois de liderar a área de derivados no Crédit Lyonnais durante 7 anos, foi Director Geral do BNP Finance. Em 1996 integrou a Aurel Leven e tornou-a uma das principais correctoras independentes de Paris no início do ano 2000. Depois de vender a Aurel Leven à Cantor Fitzgeral em 2006, fundou a Athema, uma boutique de M&A e juntou-se à CFI em 2008. É actualmente o Presidente do Board.
