The founder of Thunnus Overseas Group sells his 50% stake to Parlevliet & Van der Plas

Paris – CFI is pleased to announce that it acted as exclusive M&A advisor to the founder of Thunnus Overseas Group (“TOG”) on the disposal of his 50% stake in TOG to Parlevliet & Van der Plas (“PP Group”).

Headquartered in Puteaux (92), TOG is one of the leading players in the processing and marketing of canned tuna both under private-label brands and its own brand, Pompon Rouge. The Group relies on an integrated industrial footprint in Côte d’Ivoire, Madagascar and France, delivering consolidated revenue of €112 million in 2025.

TOG controls its entire value chain through an integrated industrial footprint: two canneries in Ivory Coast and one in Madagascar, complemented in France by the sales entity Conserverie des Cinq Océans. TOG also relies on a logistics platform based in Dunkirk, from which it supplies retail customers in France, Belgium and Germany.

PP Group is a family-owned Dutch fishing and seafood processing group, vertically integrated from catch to market. PP Group operates a fleet of over 40 vessels (pelagic, demersal and tuna fishing) and employs around 6,000 people worldwide.

Since 2021, TOG had been held on a 50/50 basis by PP Group, a major player in tuna fishing and processing, and by TOG’s founder. The partnership combined PP Group’s sourcing capabilities with TOG’s industrial and commercial expertise. Under this transaction, the terms of which remain confidential, PP Group acquired the entire 50% stake held by TOG’s founder under a shareholders’ agreement, thereby taking 100% control of TOG.

This transaction was completed on 10 July 2026.
