Berk Partners and founders have sold HSU Groep to M80 Partners

Amsterdam – CFI is pleased to announce that it acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to Berk Partners and the founders, in the sale of HSU Groep to M80 Partners and management.

About Berk Partners and HSU Groep
Amsterdam-based Berk Partners is an independent investment firm established in 1992, having invested in numerous successful medium-sized Dutch companies over the past thirty years. Founded by two entrepreneurs in 2010, HSU Groep is a specialised facility management service provider for cleaning public transport vehicles, as well as make ready services including refueling, shunting, and fluid replacement, aiming to fully relieve public transport operators. After a period of strong growth, Berk Partners joined HSU Groep in 2021 to support its growth plans and to further professionalise the business.

About M80 Partners
M80 Partners is a Brussels-based investment firm with interests in companies in the Benelux and France, specialising in business services, healthcare, and manufacturing.

About the transaction
Following the successful roll-out of various strategic initiatives with Berk Partners, HSU Groep is now well-positioned for further growth, responding to the increasing demand for specialised cleaning and make ready services in the Dutch market. Investing alongside M80 Partners, management of HSU Groep will focus on further expanding the business, including entering the Belgian market.

CFI’s role in the process
CFI was invited by Berk Partners to support the shareholders of HSU Groep in finding a new partner for future growth. CFI managed a comprehensive process, provided sell-side advisory services, negotiated optimal terms with potential buyers, and offered strategic advice to ensure the best possible transaction outcome. The transaction was finalised on 12 June 2024.
