CFI advised TecqGroep (fmr. Humares), a portfolio company of ABN AMRO participaties, on the acquisition of Isoper and Primat

Amsterdam – CFI acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to TecqGroep (fmr. Humares), a portfolio company ABN AMRO participaties, on its acquisition of Isoper and Primat.

TecqGroep (fmr. Humares) is an international provider of flexible staffing solutions. Operating a number of strong specialist brands such as Maintec, Nova Engineering, Oceanwide, and Impact, TecqGroep is focused on providing specialist knowledge and capacity in predominantly technical sectors such as oil & gas, engineering, construction and maritime.

With a track record of 25 years, both Isoper and Primat provide technical secondment services and project management support in on- and offshore energy, (petro-) chemical, process and construction industries. The companies offer highly specialised electrical and mechanical engineers with lengthy experience and in-depth sector expertise that enable them to contribute daily to vital projects for blue chip clients in the Benelux, and more specifically in the important ports regions of Rotterdam and Eemshaven (the Netherlands) and Antwerp (Belgium).

The acquisitions of Isoper and Primat strengthen TecqGroep’s position in these technical domains. Furthermore, these transactions follow the disposal by TecqGroep of the general staffing activities of TiP Personeelsdiensten (‘TiP’) to Actief Interim, a Belgian portfolio company of Gilde Equity Management Benelux, in August 2014, in which CFI also served as the exclusive financial advisor to TecqGroep. Following the acquisitions of Isoper and Primat and the disposal of TiP, TecqGroep anticipates its consolidated revenues to grow to approximately € 140 million in 2014. In January 2018, TecqGroep rebranded all its white-collar activities, including Isoper and Primat, to Tequoia.

CFI helped navigate each step of the discussions and negotiations with the owners of Isoper and Primat which ultimately resulted in a successful transaction with TecqGroep, which closed in October 2014.
