About Lydis

Lydis is a market-leading distributor in the Benelux of VoIP (Telco) hardware and Video-Conferencing solutions. Due to its technical expertise and laureated services, support and true understanding of its operating markets, including remote and hybrid working, the company has obtained in the VoIP market a share exceeding 50% and it’s share in the Video Conferencing market is growing rapidly. Lydis serves multiple important carriers in the Benelux, wherefore the company is able to realise rapid growth (>30% p.a.) with above-industry margins.

About AplusK

AplusK is a full-service distributor for the audiovisual market, providing end-to-end services in sales pitching, customed quotation, logistic handling, installation and programming. The company operates in the Netherlands and Belgium and is part of the Econocom Group, a listed European group specialised in facilitating and financing the digital transformation.

About the transaction

With the acquisition of Lydis, AplusK will extend its A-brand product portfolio, primarily in telecom and (video) conferencing, whilst realising multiple other (operating) synergies. On the other hand, AplusK’s portfolio will enhance Lydis’ product portfolio as well, enabling both parties to offer an extensive and powerful portfolio of products and services across the Benelux. The successful sale of Lydis to AplusK was completed on 26 July 2022.

CFI’s role in the process

CFI was invited by shareholders and current management to orchestrate the sales process. CFI established a list of relevant potential buyers, giving the stakeholders the opportunity to pitch its ambitious growth plans to the right strategic partners. After agreement on terms, CFI subsequently coordinated the extensive due diligence process and led the negotiations, which resulted in a successful transaction with AplusK.

Cor Heide, CEO of Lydis, commented: “We are very pleased to have found an excellent partner in AplusK and look forward combining product portfolios of both companies to support even more the opportunities in the Benelux VoIP and Video Conferencing market. We very much valued the role of CFI during our continuing dialogue, resulting in the desired outcome for all stakeholders of Lydis.”
