Headroom has been sold to Public Support

AmsterdamCFI is pleased to announce it acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to Headroom, in its sale to Public Support.

About Headroom
Founded in 2012, Headroom provides remote executive assistance for C-level executives and entrepreneurs through flexible monthly subscriptions, offering a cost-effective alternative to hiring in-house support. The company delivers continuous, high-quality support through carefully trained executive assistants who leverage proprietary software to manage tasks securely, share knowledge, and ensure seamless continuity even during absences. Headroom serves a wide range of clients across Europe and is headquartered in Amsterdam.

About Public Support
Public Support, established in 2009, is the Netherlands’ largest independent secondment agency for interim secretaries, project specialists and communications specialists, providing qualified professionals to public-sector organisations nationwide. The organisation delivers personalised, regionally tailored support across a wide range of public-sector entities, including municipalities, provinces, water boards, housing corporations, educational and healthcare institutions, and non-profit organisations. The company is headquartered in Lisse.

About the transaction
By joining Public Support, Headroom gains access to a broader client base, and the opportunity to bring its data-driven approach and AI-enabled tools to the public sector. The acquisition expands Public Support’s service portfolio to include virtual executive assistants – an increasingly in-demand service as organisations adopt more hybrid working models. While Public Support has traditionally focused on the public sector and socially relevant organisations, Headroom brings a strong presence in the private sector, serving C-level executives in SMEs and corporates. Combining forces enhances Public Support’s market position, creates cross-sector growth opportunities, and enables clients to benefit from Headroom’s data-driven approach and AI-enabled tools. Headroom will operate as a standalone business unit under the name Headroom Support, retaining its existing teams and services while gaining greater stability and scale as part of Public Support.

CFI’s role in the process
CFI acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to Headroom, guiding the company through each stage of the transaction. CFI prepared comprehensive financial and strategic materials, identified and engaged with suitable potential acquirers, and provided hands-on support during negotiations and deal structuring. These efforts ultimately led to a successful closing on 18 August 2025

Kristel Kuit, CEO of Headroom: “We are truly delighted with CFI’s guidance and commitment throughout this process. Their expertise and support ensured a smooth and well-structured transaction. Joining forces with Public Support is an exciting step for Headroom – it opens up new opportunities to grow our reach, innovate our services, and deliver even greater value to our clients.”
