Healthcare clinic SportsMed has sold a majority share to Broviken Group
Stockholm – CFI is pleased to announce that it acted as exclusive financial advisor to SportsMed in the sale of a majority share to Broviken Group.
SportsMed was founded in Gothenburg in 2008 by prof. Adad Baranto, med. dr. Klas Halldin Lindorsson and with med. dr. Mikael Dalén. Today, SportsMed is one of the leading private players in orthopedic surgery, hand surgery and physiotherapy for patients with private health insurance in Sweden. In 2022, the company performed over 2,000 surgeries, approx. 15,000 doctor’s appointments and approx. 15,000 physiatry appointments. SportsMed offers patients an unbroken chain of care where all surgeries and appointments take place in well-equipped and modern premises at Carlanderska Hospital.
Broviken Group is a privately owned company group making long-term investments in sustainable Nordic companies within the service sector. Today, Broviken manages approx. SEK 1.4 billion and since the inception in 2018, the group has completed approx. 25 investments, including add-on acquisitions. The managing partners of Broviken have many years of experience in developing service companies and aim to work actively together with entrepreneurs in order to develop companies even further.
