Helsinki – CFI is pleased to announce that they acted as exclusive financial advisor to Keskisuomalainen in the sale of its early morning newspaper delivery business to Posti.
Keskisuomalainen Oyj is a leading media provider in Finland, with a portfolio of print and digital magazines, digital outdoor advertising and radio, that reaches 3.1 million Finns, or 71% of the total population.
Posti is a leading delivery and fulfillment company in Finland, Sweden and the Baltics. It offers a wide range of postal, logistics, freight, and eCommerce services. Posti has the widest network coverage in Finland, and it visits around three million households and companies every weekday.
Posti acquires Keskisuomalainen’s early morning delivery business of newspapers. The transaction is aimed at strengthening the future of the delivery market and ensuring quality service for customers in early morning delivery business. The transfer of the business to Posti builds upon the long-standing cooperation with Keskisuomalainen and is aimed at boosting the delivery of publications and extending the lifecycle of subscribed newspapers. The transaction is also a continuation of the transactions in 2017 and 2019, when the early morning delivery operations of Kaakon Viestintä and Alma Media, respectively, were transferred to Posti.
