About the transaction
Thisworkz will join forces with Cloudshapers, a portfolio company of One Two Capital. With the addition of Thisworkz, One Two Capital takes a significant step in building a unified and powerful technology group. This acquisition brings together Thisworkz’s deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, data science, and AI with CloudShapers’ advanced capabilities in cloud-native solutions. By integrating the complementary strengths of both companies, the group will offer a broader and more comprehensive service offering—focused on scalable, secure, and high-impact technology. The combined organisation is well-positioned to accelerate digital transformation for clients across key sectors, including energy, retail, healthcare, and the public domain. This strategic move not only strengthens One Two Capital’s position in the Dutch technology market but also unlocks new (buy-and-build) opportunities for innovation, growth, and long-term value creation.
CFI’s role in the process
CFI was invited to lead the transaction between Thisworkz and One Two Capital, providing exclusive corporate finance advisory services throughout the process. CFI was responsible for preparing Thisworkz for the sale, managing the due diligence process, and facilitating the negotiation of deal terms to ensure the final agreement aligned with the strategic goals of both parties. These efforts culminated in a successful transaction on 20 May 2025, setting the stage for the newly formed group’s future growth and innovation in the technology sector.
Bas van der Zwet, Managing Director at Thisworkz: “We are very pleased with the support and expertise provided by CFI throughout this process. Their professionalism and deep understanding of our business were crucial in navigating the complexities of this transaction. Partnerships only succeed when there’s a cultural fit – and we felt that from day one with CloudShapers. We may work differently, but we think alike when it comes to what customers truly need: simplicity, reliability, and real collaboration. Together, we are excited to combine our strengths and continue driving innovation, providing scalable and effective solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.”
