About ttif.company
Headquartered in Amsterdam, ttif.company is a high quality and innovative Dutch occupational health and safety services (‘OHSS’) provider with integrated absenteeism advisory, career guidance, reintegration and coaching capabilities. It was initially established as an independent firm through a management-buyout transaction in 2007 from Hudson Global by its founding shareholders, Mariëlle Bierens de Haan – IJzerman and Max Schep. Together with co-shareholder Pascal Broertjes, the company has grown since then to become a unique partner to mid-sized clients in the private sector because of the integrated approach of its two subsidiaries, ttif & arbo (absence support, prevention and reduction of absenteeism), and ttif & werk (career guidance, coaching, reintegration and outplacement). With its proprietary systems and a highly skilled team, ttif.company ensures sustainable employability for +350 organisations and realises amongst the highest placement rates (+60%) in the market.
About DELTA Equity Partners
DELTA Equity Partners (‘DELTA’) is an industry focused fund, with deep expertise, knowledge, and network in Technology and Health. DELTA’s mission is making a difference by empowering entrepreneurs building leading Technology and Health SME companies.
DELTA has the ambition to build, together with passionate OHSS entrepreneurs, the number one quality and innovation leader in the Dutch OHSS (Arbo) market. This platform should be the leading strategic partner for employers in the area of vitality, wellbeing, and sustainable employability, supporting the development of more healthy behaviour and thus wellbeing on both individual and organisational levels. At the core of this company is a strong and complete OHSS offering. The company differentiates itself from the competition by attracting, developing, and retaining the best sustainable employability and occupational health experts in the market (including company doctors, reintegration specialists, certified coaches, and advisors) and is a leader in innovation, digitisation, and data driven working.
About the transaction
The shareholders and management team of ttif.company see DELTA as the most suited partner to help them fulfill their growth ambitions. ttif.company already has a strong reputation for quality, innovation and digitisation, and positions itself as a strategic partner for its clients. The investment and support from DELTA will enable ttif.company to take the next steps in becoming the number one quality leader among OHSS providers, and in becoming a true strategic partner on vitality and sustainable employment for Dutch employers. These next steps will include exploring further cooperation with other OHSS companies with a strong reputation for quality and innovation.
John Luijs, partner at DELTA, commented: “We are impressed with the company that Mariëlle, Max and Pascal have built and we wholeheartedly relate to the vision behind ttif.company: approaching employability from an organisational and behavioural perspective, whilst providing the highest quality through a personal and proactive touch. We believe that together with this great team we can build the quality leader in the Dutch OHSS market.”
“We’re really excited to partner with DELTA” said Mariëlle Bierens de Haan – IJzerman, co-founding shareholder of ttif.company. “Teaming up with a private equity investor who shares the same values, culture and vision in business is very important to us as entrepreneurs and builds upon the very foundation that makes us stand-out from competition.”
CFI’s role in the process
CFI was invited by ttif.company’s shareholders to orchestrate the sales process with the aim of satisfying each individual shareholder’s personal goals as well as management’s ambitions to grow the company. A thoughtfully selected group of potential partners was introduced to ttif.company, creating the opportunity for the shareholders and management to choose a partner that truly matches in culture and ambitions. Besides approaching potential investors, CFI prepared the equity story, managed the entire deal marketing process, coordinated the extensive due diligence, negotiated the deal terms and strategically advised the shareholders of ttif.company. This resulted in a successful investment by DELTA, which closed 22 December 2022.
Max Schep, co-founding shareholder of ttif.company: “We’ve known CFI for more than a decade and they have been a long-term advisor to ttif.company based on trust and an active dialogue on sustainable employability. CFI is clearly an expert in the OHSS sector and in helping business owners like Mariëlle and me to navigate a major transaction like this one. I am very pleased with the transaction outcome and CFI’s guidance throughout the process. I would highly recommend CFI to any other entrepreneur that is readying for a once in a lifetime transaction.”
