Xwift has acquired Hermos Transport

Antwerp – CFI is pleased to announce it acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to Xwift, in the acquisition of Hermos Transport (“Hermos”).

About Xwift
Founded in 2007, Xwift is a dynamic road transportation company specialised in express and dedicated delivery of goods of all sizes and weights throughout Europe, operating 24/7 all year round. In addition, the company’s services extend to providing storage solutions through its warehouse, alongside offering order picking and value-added logistics services such as packaging, repackaging, and labeling.

About Hermos
Established in 1983, Hermos provides regional distribution and road transport services across Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Germany, primarily for businesses based in Limburg. Operating with a team of around 65 employees, including 60 Belgian drivers, Hermos offers day-and-night transport solutions, maintains its own vehicle fleet, and ensures clear communication with clients to meet delivery requirements reliably. The company has built long-term working relationships with clients such as Carglass and Alken-Maes, supporting their transport and distribution needs as they have evolved over time.

About the transaction
Xwift’s acquisition of Hermos reflects a complementary blend of expertise and resources that strengthens both companies’ ability to serve the Benelux market. This acquisition allows Xwift to expand its footprint and operational capacity within the region, leveraging Hermos’s established client relationships and extensive local network built since 1983. In return, Hermos benefits from Xwift’s advanced logistics infrastructure, which includes warehousing, order fulfilment, and value-added services. This partnership enables both companies to deliver a broader range of services and strengthened support for regional and cross-border logistics solutions, meeting the evolving needs of their clients more comprehensively.

CFI’s role in the process
CFI has maintained a strong and ongoing relationship with Xwift, having supported the company in several acquisitions over recent years. Following its involvement in the acquisitions of Jetcar Expressdienst and TTC Trade and Transport Corporation N.V., CFI was invited by Xwift to advise on the acquisition of Hermos. CFI’s role included negotiating terms and managing the valuation process. Through close collaboration with both Xwift and Hermos, CFI ensured the transaction aligned with the strategic objectives of all parties, culminating in a successful closing on 2 December 2024.

Pieter Denys, CEO at Xwift: “The acquisition of Hermos Transport marks a key development for Xwift. Throughout this process, CFI’s expertise and clear communication were invaluable. Their ability to provide timely advice and effectively manage the transaction contributed to a smooth and efficient outcome, and we are pleased with the result.”
