CFI United Kingdom ranked Wales’ most active financial M&A adviser by Experian for H1 2021

The firm advised on 8 transactions in the region for the first six months of the year, including a variety of sale, acquisition and management buy-out assignments.

CFI UK was also named by Experian as Wales’ most active financial M&A adviser for 2020, advising on 11 transactions in the region during the year.

Frank Holmes, Partner commented: “The fact that we are only halfway through 2021 and have already completed 8 transactions in the region is a testament to the quality of our clients, the team and the tenacity and determination they demonstrate on every deal. We are  pleased to have been recognised for this achievement and aim to build upon this positive momentum as we enter our 30th anniversary year.’’

Experian concluded in its report that the M&A market in Wales witnessed an upsurge in activity in H1 2021. The number of transactions rose by 8% (from 103 to 111) and transaction values reached £737m, a 57% increase on the £468m total recorded for the corresponding period in 2020. Figures were buoyed by the standout statistic of the country announcing 12 mid-market deals with a total value of £290m – significantly higher than the previous year when 7 deals contributed just £73m to overall transaction values.
