CFI advised Eneida on the sale of a percentage of the shares to Hcapital
Lisbon – CFI Portugal acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to Eneida Wireless & Sensors (‘Eneida.io’) on the sale of a significant stake to Hcapital.
The transaction took place through a capital increase also subscribed by InnoEnergy and Portugal Ventures.
HCapital New Ideas is a Portuguese private equity fund focusing on Energy, Mobility and Smart Territories. Founded in October 2017 with a € 20M capital. InnoEnergy is an European organization aiming to be the leader in the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship in the Sustainable Energy business, by supporting and investing in all steps of the development process. Portugal Ventures is a venture capital firm that invests in seed rounds of Portuguese startups in tech, life sciences and tourism.
Eneida.io is a Portuguese technology company, born in 2012 in Coimbra, that developed an Energy IoT Platform, DeepGrid® (made of specific smart sensor networks, software and data science algorithms), for the optimization of the Low-Voltage Network. Amongst its clients are some of the largest European energy companies, allowing them to offer their customers a faster integration in their network of Distributed Energy Resources such as Solar PV and Electric Vehicles, and a high quality, secure, and affordable energy supply.
This is the first operation taken by HCapital New Ideas and InnoEnergy strengthens its position as an innovation promoter of sustainable energy, by supporting Start-Ups on their path to successful and sustainable business growth.
The transaction closed on 9 January 2018.
