CFI advised Hoeckle Group on the sale of Händle Härterei to Halex Group
Munich – CFI Germany is pleased to announce that it acted as the exclusive sell-side corporate finance advisor to Hoeckle Group on the sale of Händle Härterei to Halex Group, a portfolio company of H2 Equity Partners.
Händle Härterei offers a broad variety of different heat treatment processes to enhance the material properties of steel parts as well as complementary laboratory services for quality assurance and control.
HALEX Group with its headquarter in North Rhine-Westphalian Aldenhoven is a portfolio company of Netherlands-based financial investor H2 Equity Partners and has several operating sites across Europe (Germany, Italy, Romania). Business activities are split into two business lines – Halex and Härtha.
In April 2016 Händle Härterei based in Tubingen was sold to Halex Group based in Aldenhoven. As the strategic thrust of Halex is geared for growth, the acquisition of Händle Härterei represents an important strategic step to achieve the growth objectives and is in line with the buy-and-build trajectory in the hardening business. Key focus areas for this buy-and-build program are geographic location, portfolio of relevant hardening technologies and a focus on high value-add end markets.
The transaction closed on 22 April 2016.
