CWS Fire Safety has acquired Wardenburg Beveiliging
Amsterdam – Corporate Finance International (“CFI”) is delighted to announce that it has acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to CWS Fire Safety, part of CWS Group, in the acquisition of Wardenburg Beveiliging (“Wardenburg”).

After acquiring 24 companies in the past 30 months the company already operates from more than 20 locations accross Europe.
CWS Fire Safety is a brand of CWS Group. The group has approximately 11,000 employees in 15 countries. In 2020 the company achieved a turnover of c. EUR 1.2 billion. CWS Group is a portfolio company of Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH.
Wardenburg, located in Kolham near Groningen in the Netherlands was founded in 1982 and employs around 90 people. The company focuses on the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems and security technology including intrusion detection systems, video surveillance and access control systems. Just like CWS Fire Safety, Wardenburg offers all-round service, from consulting and planning to installation and commissioning to maintenance and repair.
In June 2021 CWS Fire Safety entered the Dutch market with the acquisition of Hefas Brandbeveiliging. “The Netherlands is an important market for CWS Group, where we already have many existing customers. With the second Dutch acquisition, we are taking a further step to also offer our existing and new customers in the Netherlands installation, maintenance and repair of a broad portfolio of products in the field of fire safety and security from a single source,” says Mr Ulrich Schild, General Manager of CWS Fire Safety. Additional acquisitions in the Dutch market are planned.
CFI initiated the discussions with Wardenburg, which ultimately resulted in a successful transaction closed on 1 August 2021.
