Fuji Oil Holdings Inc. has sold Toraku Foods Co.,Ltd. to Marudai Food Co.,Ltd.
Tokyo – Frontier Management Inc. (CFI Japan) is pleased to announce that they acted as financial advisor to Fuji Oil Holdings Inc. in the sale of Toraku Foods Co.,Ltd. to Marudai Food Co.,Ltd.
Toraku owns well-known brands and products that include chilled cup desserts, popular “Kobe Pudding” which is often purchased by visitors to Kobe as a typical gift to take home, and “Raku Raku Whip” that boasts the top share in the whipped cream market. In order to further develop Toraku in the Japanese market and further strengthen the core competence of the Fuji Oil Group, the Company has entered into a share transfer agreement.
MARUDAI FOOD COMPANY, LTD. produces and sells ham, sausage, precooked food and fresh meat. The company also produces and sells desserts and drinks.
The transaction closed in May 2020.
