MBI-MBO transaction of Contimac-GMT

Antwerp CFI is pleased to announce it has acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to Contimac-GMT in the MBI-MBO transaction involving the families De Bock and Rooseleer.

About Contimac-GMT
Contimac-GMT, headquartered in Asse, Belgium, is a developer, importer and distributor of a broad range of machinery, equipment and tools. The company supplies specialist retailers across the Benelux, who in turn serve professional end-users and craftsmen. Since its establishment in 1988, Contimac-GMT has built a strong market position based on technical expertise, product quality, efficient logistics and after-sales service. The company generates approximately €20 million in annual revenue.

About the transaction
To facilitate a structured management transition and long-term succession, the shareholders of Contimac-GMT have transferred ownership to Sébastien and Amaury De Bock and to Ward, Viktor and Stan Rooseleer through a combined MBI-MBO transaction. The new shareholder group aims to further develop the company through continued organic growth as well as a selective buy-and-build strategy, including potential international expansion.

CFI’s role in the process
CFI advised the shareholders of Contimac-GMT throughout the transaction process. This included introducing the De Bock family, advising on the structuring and negotiation of the key terms and conditions, and coordinating the due diligence process in close collaboration with financial and legal advisors. The transaction was successfully completed on 30 March 2026.

The shareholders of Contimac-GMT: “Having previously advised Contimac on the acquisition of GMT in 2021, CFI played a crucial role throughout the process, from the introduction of the De Bock family to providing clear guidance and hands-on support at every stage. Their expertise and commitment were essential in achieving a successful outcome, and we look forward to the next phase of growth under the new shareholder group.”
