SWK AG has acquired a minority stake in FRONTERIS Group

Düsseldorf – CFI is pleased to announce that it acted as exclusive financial advisor to SWK AG its acquisition of minority stake in FRONTERIS Group.

The SWK Group is a leading nationwide provider of utility and waste management services, headquartered in Krefeld. With an extensive portfolio covering electricity, gas, water, district heating, and waste disposal, the company generates an annual revenue of approximately EUR 2.5 billion. Employing around 3,600 professionals, SWK is committed not only to conventional energy supply but also to advancing future-oriented sectors, including e-mobility, renewable energy, and tailored solutions for private and commercial customers.

For over 25 years, FRONTERIS has been a key player in renewable energy project development, specializing in solar energy, wind power, and biogas. With an installed capacity of more than 330 MW and a team of approximately 70 employees, FRONTERIS ranks among the leading companies in the renewable energy sector.

By integrating FRONTERIS’ expertise in wind and photovoltaic (PV) project development, SWK is expanding its portfolio with a stronger focus on in-house energy generation and cutting-edge large-scale storage solutions. Conversely, FRONTERIS benefits from SWK’s extensive know-how in battery capacity planning, marketing, and district heating solutions – further accelerating its growth.

Carsten Liedtke, spokesperson for SWK’s Management Board, stated:
