The Riverside Company has sold 100% of its stake in Euromed Botanicals to Dermapharm Holding
Madrid –Â CFI Spain is pleased to announce it acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to The Riverside Company on the sale of 100% of its stake in Euromed Botanicals (hereafter “Euromed”), leading provider of standardized herbal extracts and natural APIs, to the German company Dermapharm Holding SE (hereafter “Dermapharm”).
The Riverside Company is a global private equity firm focused on making control and non-control investments in growing businesses. Its current portfolio includes more than 80 companies.
Euromed is a leading independent extract player with over 50 years experience in the natural active ingredients (botanical extracts) for the pharma, nutraceutical and cosmetic sectors. Euromed has two state-of-the art manufacturing facilities in Barcelona and Murcia (Spain) and presence in over 35 countries with 98% of its sales generated internationally.
Dermapharm is a German company specialised in the development, production and distribution of patent-free pharma products. It currently has more than 950 authorisations to distribute more than 250 ingredients in the pharma, dietary and nutraceutical sectors.
The transaction was announced on 18 November 2018 and will close in Januari 2019 (subject to approval of antitrust authorities).
