Trescal has acquired CPS NZ
Brisbane – CFI is pleased to announce that it acted as exclusive financial advisor to Trescal in its acquisition by CPS NZ and Calibration Connect (CalCon).
Trescal is the global leader in calibration services. It offers an array of industries a single-source solution for calibration, measurement, repair, qualification, validation and asset management across the globe. Its technicians and experts carry out accredited and non-accredited services for all measured variables and measuring instruments in all technical domains. About 5,500 people work at Trescal around the world to perform 3.3 million operations per year, including 27,000 repairs across 150,000 types of instruments and 20,000 brands.
CPS NZ Ltd, founded in 1986 by Chris Woudenberg, employs approximately 20 people and performs calibrations in seven accredited domains, with particular expertise in pressure, temperature, and electrical measurements. The company’s diversified client portfolio includes over 3,300 clients, spanning the dairy, oil & gas, healthcare, aeronautical, renewable energy, and advanced manufacturing industries. CalCon, founded in 2004 and acquired by CPS NZ in 2020, specializes in electrical calibration and torque testing.
Both CPS NZ and CalCon were owned by Chris Woudenberg and Kirsty Russell. The businesses’ main laboratory and headquarters are located in Auckland, with additional laboratories in New Plymouth and Christchurch.
