Profile
Sylvain Orebi is an entrepreneur with forty years’ experience in developing and transforming businesses.
After acquiring Kusmi Tea in 2003, he transformed this heritage tea house into an international premium brand with a strong commercial identity and a multichannel distribution network. In 2026, he sold a controlling stake in Kusmi Tea while remaining a minority shareholder and chairman of its board.
For more than eighteen years, Sylvain has appeared regularly on BFM Business as an economic and business commentator. He also served for seven years as a coach for the BFM Académie, a start-up competition. Sylvain also chaired the working group on business simplification at the French Ministry of the Economy and Finance during the preparation of the PACTE Act. He had previously contributed to France’s bid to host World Expo 2025.
