Aliaxis Group has sold the ceramics division of Friatec to Kyocera
Corporate Finance International (‘CFI’) is pleased to announce that it acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to Aliaxis on the sale of the ceramics division of Friatec, a leading German specialist manufacturer of high-end technical ceramics, to Kyocera.
Aliaxis SA, a global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of advanced plastic piping systems, has divested its Ceramics Business, consisting of Frialit-Degussit high-performance ceramics and Fridurit laboratory technology, to Kyocera Fineceramics GmbH. This way both businesses will become part of Kyocera, a global leading ceramics and technology corporation. This divestment is in line with the Aliaxis’s strategy to enable growth in all its businesses by aligning with the right customers, capabilities and markets.
CFI assisted Aliaxis throughout the whole sales process by which the Ceramics Business consisting of Frialit-Degussit and Fredurit was sold to Kyocera. Transaction size was ca EUR 100m.
CFI’s role was to assist in the vendor due diligence process, drafting of the business plan, preparation of the information memorandum and dataroom, monitoring current trading, actively participating in expert sessions and further negotiation sessions until closing.
The transaction closed in May 2019.
