Beter Bed Holding NV (‘Beter Bed Holding’, ISIN: NL0000339703, ticker symbol AMS:BBED) operates in the European bedroom furnishings market. The Company’s activities include retail trade through stores in countries that include the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Poland. Beter Bed Holding also wholesales branded products in countries that include The Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium. Beter Bed Holding generated revenues of approximately EUR 385 million in 2015.
Sängjätten is a Swedish value-for-money retailer of box springs, beds and bed textiles, with approximately 50 employees and EUR 10m in revenues.
The acquisition of 25 Sängjätten stores (16 own and 9 franchise) gives Beter Bed Holding acces to the Swedish market.
CFI introduced the Sängjätten opportunity to Beter Bed Holding and approached the owner of Sängjätten on behalf of Beter Bed Holding, which triggered a succesful transaction that was announced on 2 June 2016.
