CFI advised Looser Holding on the sale of the Feycolor Group to Mipa Group


Zurich – CFI is pleased to announce that it acted as the exclusive sell-side corporate finance advisor to Looser Holding on the sale of 100% of the Feycolor Group, consisting of Feycolor GmbH, Austria and Feycolor GmbH, Germany to the MIPA Group.

The MIPA Group develops, produces and sells coatings with focus on industrial coatings. Customers are professional users in craft and industry. The family-owned company considers itself a provider of a full product portfolio for the coatings specialist. Customer service including in-depth know-how of the coatings process are important factors of MIPA’s success. The group is headquartered in Essenbach, Germany and operates production facilities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as sales offices in the UK, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Hungary, among others. MIPA has over 900 employees globally.

Feycolor GmbH with sites in Maeder, Austria and Regensburg, Germany employs 70 people and generated sales of EUR 13 mn in 2013. The company is active in the field of industrial and automotive repair as well as specialty coatings.

Looser Holding AG [ISIN: CH0026205861, Ticker Symbol: LOHN] is an international industrial holding company headquartered in Arbon, Switzerland. The corporate group is active in the coatings, temperature control, industrial services and doors sectors. Around 2,300 employees work for the group in 20 operational facilities in Europe, Asia and the USA. Looser Holding AG’s registered shares are listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange (Main Standard).

On March 5th, 2014, Looser Holding AG has signed an agreement to sell 100% of the Feycolor Group, consisting of Feycolor GmbH, Austria and Feycolor GmbH, Germany to the MIPA Group, Essenbach, Germany. For the Looser Holding AG the sale is an important step in their strategy of focusing their coatings business on their core competencies wood, packaging and non-stick coatings.

The Feycolor group will be integrated into the MIPA Group as an independent entity. The sites in Regensburg and Maeder will remain in place and MIPA will continue to use the brand. The 70 employees of Feycolor get the chance to further thrive within the renowned family business.
