CFI advised Pilmaiquén on its sale to Statkraft
Santiago – CFI Chile acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to Pilmaiquén on the sale of a majority stake to Statkraft.
Statkraft acquired 98.2% of Pilmaiquén’s shares. Pilmaiquén owns and operates the Rucatayo hydropower plant. Pilmaiquén owns and operates the Rucatayo hydropower plant in the south of Chile, including a transmission line connecting the power plant to the grid. The company also holds water rights for three hydropower projects in the same river.
CFI Chile provided a comprehensive service, which included, among other, valuing the company; designing, structuring and managing a competitive process; and assisting in the negotiations through signing.
The transaction closed on 23 April 2015.
