CFI advised Randstad on the sale of FunktieMediair to Kenhardt


Amsterdam – CFI Netherlands is pleased to announce it acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to Randstad on the sale of FunktieMediair to Kenhardt.

Randstad Holding N.V. (‘Randstad’, ISIN: NL0000379121, ticker symbol: RAND) is a global staffing and recruitment company, offering various solutions in the HR services space. Being a sparring partner on total talent management, its services include regular temporary staffing and permanent placement of candidates, in-house services concepts, and other HR solutions, such as recruitment process outsourcing, managed services programs, payroll services, and outplacement. Randstad was founded in 1960 in the Netherlands. In 2015, Randstad generated revenues of €19.2 billion, employing 29,750 corporate employees, who worked in some 4,500 branches and in-house locations in 39 countries.

With a history of over 30 years, FunktieMediair is specialised in providing assessment and development (training & coaching) related to higher functions in mainly the non-profit sector in the Netherlands (healthcare, national and regional governmental bodies) and market sector. FunktieMediair became part of the Randstad group following the acquisition of Vedior in 2008.

Following a strategic re-orientation and the integration of FunktieMediair’s interim management and recruitment services into Randstad Zorg in October 2015, Randstad pursued a strategic partner for the assessment and development activities that continued under the FunktieMediair label.

CFI Netherlands initiated discussions and negotiations with a select range of potential strategic buyers in a process that ultimately resulted in a successful transaction with Kenhardt.

The transaction closed on 1 April 2016.
