CFI advised Van Ochten Bedrijfskleding on its sale to Sioen Industries
Amsterdam – CFI Netherlands acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to Van Ochten Bedrijfskleding, a Dutch company specialised in designing and producing high quality workwear, on its sale to Sioen Industries, a Belgian based group.
Van Ochten Bedrijfskleding (‘Van Ochten’) is a Dutch company specialised in designing and producing high quality protective workwear for various industrial sectors, which meets the highest safety requirements, including petrochemical workers, welders, construction workers, etc.
Sioen Industries is a Belgian listed group with an extensive portfolio of products and activities, including spinning, weaving, coating and processing of technical textiles, manufacturing of protective clothing and production of fine chemicals. Sioen Industries has a global reach with facilities in Europe, North Africa, North America, China and Southeast Asia.
The strong brand name of Van Ochten, high product quality and efficient production combined with Sioen Industries’ international sales and procurement channels and extensive customer base will lead to considerable synergies. Mr Jan van Ochten will continue working as director and will focus on both the further expansion of the commercial activities of Van Ochten and the introduction and further expansion of the range of work clothing in the Sioen Industries’ organization.
CFI Netherlands acted as exclusive financial advisor to the shareholders of P. van Ochten Bedrijfskleding for a highly effective transaction process, in which value was created. CFI Netherlands initiated discussions and negotiations with a range of international potential strategic and financial parties in a process resulting in a successful transaction with Sioen Industries.
The transaction closed in July 2013.
