FIELDS Group has sold Upforce to Value Enhancement Partners
Amsterdam – CFI is pleased to announce it acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to FIELDS Group and other private shareholders, in the sale of Upforce to Value Enhancement Partners.
About Upforce
Upforce, headquartered in Venlo, is a full-service supplier of international temporary staffing solutions for 1st and 2nd generation migrant workers in the Netherlands. The company operates a large European sourcing network in multiple countries, ensuring sufficient influx of skilled and qualified professionals. Upforce employs over 1,500 workers on a daily basis, primarily in key sectors experiencing structural scarcity, such as engineering & construction, logistics & e-commerce and food production. The company stands out for its ability to accurately and timely match skilled and capable employees with clients, while also facilitating sustainable integration of its workforce within Dutch society.
About the transaction
In 2018, entrepreneurial and hands-on investment firm FIELDS Group partnered with Techwork via a carve-out. In the following years, the company experienced substantial growth, both organically and through acquisitions, transitioning into a fully-integrated supplier of international workers. After achieving multiple strategic improvements and successfully integrating multiple labels under the new Upforce brand, shareholders believe that the company is now ready to accelerate the next growth phase with the assistance of a new partner, Value Enhancement Partners.
CFI’s role in the process
CFI was invited by the owners of Upforce to orchestrate the sales process. Leveraging CFI’s in-depth market knowledge and extensive network in Staffing & HR services, CFI played a pivotal role in assisting Upforce in finding a suitable partner with shared ambitions. CFI subsequently coordinated the process, resulting in a successful transaction with Value Enhancement Partners on 22 June 2023.
Rutger Alberink, Partner of FIELDS Group commented: “It has been a privilege to collaborate with Upforce and its management team. Since the start, we have embarked on an exciting journey, combining organic growth and strategic add-on acquisitions to reshape the company into a resounding success story. The new partnership with Value Enhancement Partners offers Upforce a promising future. We greatly appreciate the invaluable and unwavering support provided by CFI in this process. CFI’s profound expertise in Staffing & HR services and distinctive understanding of potential buyers have resulted in a highly valued outcome in this transaction.“
