Tokyo – Frontier Management Inc. (CFI Japan) is pleased to announce that they acted as financial advisor to Saikaya Department Store in the capital and business alliance agreement with AFC-HD AMS Life Science.
Saikaya Department Store Co., Ltd. is engaged in department store business. The department store segment operates department stores in Yokosuka and Fujisawa, satellite-type store in Kawasaki. It’s involved in tenant management and operation of specialty store buildings and operation of specialty stores in Machida. Through its subsidiaries, it also engages in the wholesale trade of clock, jewelry and precious metal products, the sale of clothing, accessories and general merchandise, and building management business.
AFC-HD AMS Life Science Co., Ltd. is Japan-based company mainly engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of healthcare food and pharmaceuticals. The company operates in two business segments. The healthcare segment is engaged in the original equipment manufacturing (OEM), manufacture and sales of health food and cosmetics. The medicine segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of medicines for ophthalmic medicine and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, as well as sales of generic drugs.
The transaction closed in May 2021.
